Dr Neville Azzopardi graduated as a medical doctor from the University of Malta in 2005. He pursed his training in interventional endoscopy at the Istituto Mediterraneo per i Trapianti e Therapie ad Alta Specializzazione (IsMETT) in Italy between 2012 and 2013 and was subsequently appointed as a consultant gastroenterologist at Mater dei Hospital in 2016. He obtained a Master of Philosophy with his dissertation Osteoporosis/Osteopoenia in Crohn’s disease Patients expressing the ATG16L1 Gene Variants. He is the vice-president of the Malta Association of Gastroenterologists and is the chairperson of the Nutrition and Dietetics Working group at Mater Dei hospital.
