Velitchka (aka Vel) is a consultant anaesthetist with a major interest in neuro-anaesthesia and trauma. Her teaching experience involves regular course instruction/organization with the European Resuscitation Council both locally and in the United Kingdom. She is a simulator instructor, educational supervisor and a mentor to trainees in the Anesthesia department in Mater Dei Hospital. Velitchka also teaches basic life support and resuscitation module at the University of Malta in Department of Family Medicine. Velitchka is currently working together with the Malta Resuscitation Council to get Basic Life Support as part of the National Curriculum. She is known by her close friends as being an adventurous, caring mum and a great baker! Motto in life- Teach kids early- they are the hope for a better future!
