Mr Joseph Debono is a Medical Director at Mater Dei. After Medical School and Foundation training in Malta he continued his post graduate training in Scotland becoming a Specialist in Surgery with interest in Surgical Oncology in 1999 when he returned to Malta. He worked as a Consultant Surgeon and also Chairperson of the Department of Surgery. For the last 5 years he has taken over a more administrative role, initially a Deputy Medical Director, Medical Director and more recently as Director in Medicolegal Matters, Governance, Quality Assurance and Appraisal.
