Dr. Amjid Mohammed

I have been a consultant in emergency medicine since 2002 and a clinical director across two different NHS Trusts. I have also worked in many overseas territories in different healthcare systems either in an acute or chronic crisis. This includes being part of medical teams deployed in response to international disasters. Patient safety is a paramount part of what we do, and I have been interested in many aspects of this for many years. This includes investigating and understanding learning and improvement that we can get from patient safety incidents especially in relation to human factors. I train in human factors and how this relates to the new Patient Safety Incident Framework (PSIRF) that the NHS is implementing.
