Dr. Tiziana Pirotta

Dr. Tiziana Pirotta (M.D., DESA, EDIC, MRCP, BSc.) is a specialist in anaesthesia and intensive care from Malta where she completed her training in 2021. She has a subspecialisation in intensive care medicine as well as a specialist interest in anaesthesia for high-risk patient groups namely those presenting for major oncological, vascular and bariatric surgery. She has undertaken fellowships in intensive care medicine at King’s College Hospital London and a further fellowship with a specialist interest in echocardiography at University College London Hospital. As part of her perioperative medicine fellowship at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, Dr. Pirotta worked within the SUMMIT team focusing on risk-stratification, optimisation, pre-habilitation and for patients presenting for major oncological upper gastrointestinal surgery. She also contributed to several research projects including the VITALs and INSPIRE trials. She is currently working as a post-specialisation fellow in bariatric and major trauma anaesthesia at St. Mary’s Hospital in London.
