Dr Nandor Kosik is an anaesthesiologist (DESAIC) and paediatrician with extensive experience in paediatric anaesthesia and intensive care. He currently serves as an anaesthesiologist with special interest in paediatric anaesthesia at Mater Dei Hospital (MDH). He has always been dedicated to teaching and training. He took part in establishing the Paediatric Ambulance Services and contributed to the implementation of the first paediatric vvECMO centre in Hungary and had key role in spreading ultrasound guided regional techniques in paediatric anaesthesia there. He is also an instructor on European paediatric life support (EPALS, EPILS) courses. In 2019, he relocated to Malta with his family. Since then, he has become an examiner for the European Diploma in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care, a committee member of the Association of Anaesthesiologists of Malta, and the educational supervisor of paediatric anaesthesia at MDH. He is a strong advocate for sustainability. As the Sustainability National Representative of Malta, he was involved in the validation of the ESAIC Consensus Document on Sustainabilty and has led or participated in several green projects.
